Ride Planner
Keeping a loaner fleet costs money even when the cars sit. This planner compares the cost of a loaner car with ride-share drop-offs; it does not book rides. Ride-share integration is an add-on that is coming. Enter your own numbers to compare.
Your numbers
Loaner cost should include insurance, depreciation, cleaning and fuel. Fares are your own estimate.
How it is calculated. Loaner total = days in shop × loaner cost per day. Ride-share total = (one-way rides per repair + extra rides per day × days) × average fare. A ride is one direction, so a drop-off and a pickup are 2 rides. Monthly figure = (loaner total − ride-share total) × jobs per month.

Beyond cost
A ride covers the days a car is actually in the bay, without keeping spare vehicles, extra insurance or return paperwork. Ride-share integration is an add-on of the CarServ subscription that is coming soon. This calculator estimates only and does not book rides.
